LeBron James has made history
once again.

The NBA’s megastar etched
another remarkable milestone into the annals of NBA history by
becoming the first player to surpass 50,000 combined points in
regular season and playoff games after also being the only player
in history to eclipse the 40,000 points in the regular
season.

The 40-year-old Los Angeles
Lakers superstar achieved this unprecedented feat with a
three-pointer from the left wing in the first quarter against the
New Orleans Pelicans on March 4, 2025.

James’s journey to this
monumental achievement reflects his enduring excellence and
consistency over 22 seasons. He previously broke Kareem
Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time regular-season scoring record in February
2023 and surpassed Michael Jordan’s playoff scoring record in May
2017. As of this milestone, James has played 1,547 regular-season
games and 287 playoff games, underscoring his longevity and
durability in the league.

Beyond individual accolades,
James’s performance continues to impact the Lakers’ success
significantly. The team has been on a six-game winning streak,
rising to second place in the Western Conference standings,
particularly after acquiring Luka Doncic in a trade for Anthony
Davis. Even at the ripe old age of 40, James’s leadership and
sustained high-level play remain pivotal as the Lakers aim for
another championship run and his 5th championship ring.
