Dwight Howard, the Orlando
Magic’s first overall pick in the 2004 NBA Draft, was officially
inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame on Monday, March 24, 2025,
becoming the 13th member to receive this honor.  The ceremony
took place at the Kia Center before the Magic’s game against the
Los Angeles Lakers, one of Howard’s former teams.​

Howard, who played for the Magic
from 2004 to 2012, was visibly moved during the induction.  He
expressed gratitude towards the organization and fans,
acknowledging the support he received throughout his
tenure.​

During his eight seasons with
Orlando, Howard led the team to the NBA Finals in 2009 and the
Eastern Conference Finals in 2010.  He established himself as
one of the league’s premier centers, earning multiple All-Star
selections and Defensive Player of the Year awards.​

Howard’s induction places him
alongside other Magic legends such as Shaquille O’Neal and Tracy
McGrady, further solidifying his legacy within the
franchise.
