Paul George to make 76ers debut against Suns
The Philadelphia 76ers will get
much needed help as offseason acquisition Paul George, recently
upgraded to questionable, is expected to play Monday against the
Suns, per ESPN’s Shams Charania.
ANALYSIS: The Sixers entered the
season with high hopes with George in the fold but an injury in the
preseason hindered them from having a full takeoff. Philadelphia
have started off 1-4, largely missing stars Joel Embiid (left knee
management) and Paul George (left knee bone
bruise).
The 34-year-old forward, who
signed with the 76ers in July, boasts career averages of 20.8
points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. With six All-NBA selections
and four All-Defensive nods, George is set to join Embiid and
Tyrese Maxey, offering a critical boost in Philadelphia’s Eastern
Conference campaign.
