Sports News, Transfers and Scores:
Heat receive Davion Mitchell from Raptors for PJ Tucker

The Miami Heat continued to make
moves as they have acquired guard Davion Mitchell from the Toronto
Raptors, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania. In exchange, they will
send out recently re-acquired forward PJ Tucker, a second-round
draft pick, and cash considerations.
Trade Details:
- Miami Heat
Receive: - Davion Mitchell
- Toronto
Raptors Receive: - PJ Tucker
- Second-round draft pick
- Cash considerations
ANALYSIS: Davion Mitchell, 26,
has averaged 6.3 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.9 rebounds over 44
games this season, starting in 22 of them. He is set to become a
restricted free agent after the season.
A defensive dynamo, Mitchell
bolsters the Heat’s backcourt depth that includes Tyler Herro,
Terry Rozier, and Duncan Robinson as they prepare for the latter
part of the season.
PJ Tucker, a seasoned forward,
brings veteran experience to the Raptors. The inclusion of a
second-round pick and cash considerations provides Toronto with
additional assets for future flexibility, but it will be
interesting to see if Tucker gets traded again to a potential
contender that could use his services.
